Mixed use development

This was a project that had everything. In summary we have constructed a mixed use development comprising of a 2 storey commercial office building with both basement and under croft car parking, office fitouts for two state government departments and construction of a new fuel station including fast food outlets and a standalone automated car wash.

Partek were engaged at an early stage to provide a professional service in value adding to the design development and provided constructability advice. This enabled both Partek and the client to fast track the tender process which was tendered in stages to enable works to commence on site at a far earlier stage than a typical project.

A main challenge for our team was the method by which the project was procured. The contracts were divided into 3 parts ie. base building and fitouts for SA Health and Service SA. Due to this contractual arrangement our team administered and coordinated 3 different contracts for different clients working in collaboration with 2 different design consultant teams.

The project as a whole was completed on time, within budget with all 3 clients very happy with the outcome.

The final product has in many instances exceeded our own expectations.
