Partek were engaged by CARA (South Australian Disability Service Provider) to undertake the fit out works to their new Hindmarsh offices. With a critical completion date in mind for the office changeover, Partek were engaged as a Managing Contractor to work collaboratively with the client and consultant team to ensure the compressed programme could be achieved.

Soon after project inception, it was paramount the construction works were expediated and consequently, Partek worked closely with Lucid and DesignInc to complete an early works demolition package. This allowed for the design to be finalised and costed accordingly. After providing additional value management to assist the overall project budget, subcontractors and suppliers were engaged efficiently to ensure supply items were procured in advance.

Housing approximately 120 staff, the new fit out encompassed open plan workstation arrangements with print hubs, meeting and quiet rooms, tea points, breakout areas, and a large kitchen across two levels. The new space incorporates a high level of detail and finish, with bold feature ceilings, polished concrete flooring, and feature wall panelling, together providing an impeccable transition between work areas.

Partek worked closely with CARA’s staff throughout the duration of the project. This close collaboration allowed for new space to be frequented throughout the construction works permitting a smooth transition upon completion. We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to assist CARA on this momentus transition and wish them the best of luck in their space in the future.
