Partek completed the construction of a New Multi-Level Ophthalmology Building comprising 3 levels of client tenanted occupied space as well as the necessary ground floor and basement carpark for such a development.

The building main core consisted of a new fire rated stairwell, highly detailed lift enclosure and foyer entrances. Each level was designed to incorporate its own toilet, kitchen amenities whilst the basement consisted of its own toilet, showering, storage and bike lock up facilities for all the tenants’ occupying the space.

The building superstructure was constructed predominantly with extensive concrete in situ beams and columns whilst the upper level was designed with structural steelwork. The exterior envelope was a combination of Precast walls, lightweight CFC, Alucobond cladding & complimented with the necessary specialised Glazing and Aluminium Louvre elements to accommodate BCA requirements.

The site was bounded by adjacent neighbouring structures which created logistical issues in terms of method of construction requiring constant liaison with council & adjacent tenants due to restrictions of access via rear occupied lane ways and in particular that off Greenhill Road.

As the Base Building works neared completion Partek took a collaborative approach in conjunction with the fitout contractor and client in order to accommodate parts of the fitout works which included large extents of its own Base Building works.

The project was completed on time with the upmost quality to the satisfaction of all parties in particular the client.

Excellent communication and care to minimising the level of disruption to students and teachers was a key feature of Partek's management.
