The works undertaken at the St. John Bosco Primary School consisted of the demolition of an existing masonry toilet block and the construction of a new classroom building including amenities and store room. The construction of this new build provided a number of difficult tasks along the way.
The new building situated in the courtyard of the school and between 2 existing buildings to either end of the building and a Kindergarten next door, where the existing fence separating the two properties required replacing, creating potential WHS risk for kindergarten staff and children. Due to its location, there were a number of difficult situations with delivering building materials to the site. In particular, the concrete, where the concrete pump was positioned adjacent the school oval and the concrete pump was extended above one of the existing buildings in order to reach site. The delivery and carnage of roof sheets were also of similar set up.
Given the above mentioned difficulties and in working concurrently with the design team and the school, Partek were still managed to deliver a product at which the school are very proud to call their own
